Privacy Policy

Last updated: 8 May 2026 · Applies to teampenguin.xyz

This Privacy Policy describes how Team Penguin ("we", "us") handles personal data collected through the website teampenguin.xyz (the "Website"). It does not apply to the data processed inside our published applications — each application has its own separate privacy policy.

1. Who we are

Team Penguin is a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS) registered under number 811 667 674 RCS Paris, with registered office at 128 rue de la Boétie, 75008 Paris, France. We are the data controller in the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the personal data described below.

2. What data we collect on this Website

We deliberately collect as little data as possible. The Website is a static informational site and does not require an account, login or registration. The only personal data we may receive is:

  • Contact form data — when you fill out the form on the Contact page, we receive your name, email address, subject and message. This is used solely to reply to you.
  • Technical data — when you access the Website, our hosting provider (IONOS) automatically logs technical information such as IP address, user agent, time of request and requested URL. These logs are kept for security and audit purposes for a limited period.

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, analytics scripts or social-media tracking pixels on the Website.

3. Legal basis

The legal basis for processing your contact form submission is our legitimate interest in answering your inquiry, and, where applicable, the steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract. The legal basis for technical access logs is our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Website.

4. Retention

Contact form messages are retained for as long as necessary to handle your request and any follow-up, and are then deleted or archived for the duration of the applicable statute of limitations. Technical access logs are retained for the limited period configured by our hosting provider.

5. Recipients

Your data is accessible only to authorised personnel within Team Penguin. Our hosting provider acts as a data processor on our behalf for the purpose of operating the Website. We do not sell, rent or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. International transfers

Personal data submitted through the Website is processed in the European Union. Where any transfer outside the European Economic Area is required, it will be made on the basis of adequacy decisions or appropriate safeguards in line with applicable data protection law.

7. Your rights

Subject to the conditions set out in applicable law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase or port your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw any consent previously given. To exercise these rights, contact us at apps@teampenguin.xyz. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).

8. Cookies

The Website does not set non-essential cookies. Essential, technical cookies may be used solely to support core functionality (e.g. submitting the contact form) and do not require consent under applicable law.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. Continued use of the Website after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
